Undo the last action
Press ⌘Z to undo the newest available mail action. ⇧⌘Z redoes when that action can be repeated. Primail keeps up to fifty recent supported actions in the current session. Newer actions can replace the oldest. Undo stays on this Mac. It is not copied to other devices and it does not survive quitting Primail.
What you can undo
Section titled “What you can undo”These actions offer Undo when the app finishes them:
- Archive (Done)
- Trash
- Move to folder
- Mark as spam
- Pin, Set Aside, Flag, Snooze
- Grouped bulk versions of those actions, as one Undo
Not on this list:
- Mark read / unread (info toast only)
- Compose typing (the field has its own undo)
- Account add or remove
- Signature text edits
- Settings changes
Not every action has Undo.
Toast vs later Undo
Section titled “Toast vs later Undo”An undoable action also shows a toast with Undo for 5 seconds. After the toast fades, ⌘Z can still undo that action if it remains among those fifty recent actions. ⌘Z undoes the newest available action. The toast lifetime is not the session Undo lifetime.
Undo Send
Section titled “Undo Send”Undo Send waits before sending starts. It does not recall a message after sending starts.
Settings → General → Undo Send timer lists Off, 5, 10, 20, and 30 seconds. Off is the default: send happens immediately. Your choice is saved on this Mac.
During the delay you can cancel the pending send. After sending starts, Primail cannot pull the message back.
